Maintenance Technician; Retail​/Mall

Triad Service Solutions is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to help maintain the safety, appearance, and functionality of an interior shopping center.

This hands-on position performs preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting throughout the property. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and able to respond to a variety of maintenance needs.

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance throughout the property
• Respond to work orders and maintenance requests
• Inspect common areas and building components for repair or safety concerns
• Troubleshoot basic maintenance and equipment issues
• Perform minor plumbing repairs to faucets, toilets, drains, fixtures, and leaks
• Perform basic electrical tasks, including replacing lamps, fixtures, switches, and outlets
• Perform minor carpentry repairs to doors, locks, hardware, trim, and other components
• Perform drywall patching, painting, and general building repairs
• Replace ceiling tiles and perform minor ceiling repairs
• Maintain common-area fixtures, furniture, and equipment
• Monitor and maintain lighting throughout the property
• Inspect mechanical and equipment areas as assigned
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and maintenance equipment
• Maintain tools, equipment, supplies, and work areas
• Follow safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment
• Document completed work and inspections as required
• Report equipment issues, repair needs, supply needs, and safety concerns to management
• Identify repairs requiring specialized or outside vendor support
• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance and safety concerns
• Perform other duties as assigned

Employees may be required to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Bend, stoop, kneel, squat, climb, reach, and perform repetitive movements
• Lift, carry, move, and position up to 40 pounds
• Push and pull tools, equipment, materials, and supplies
• Climb and work from ladders
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
• Navigate stairs and varying walking surfaces
• Perform duties requiring frequent movement throughout the property

Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Previous commercial, facility, building, or general maintenance experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs preferred
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail
• Dependable and punctual
• Able to prioritize tasks and respond to changing maintenance needs
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills
• Bilingual skills are not required

This position is performed primarily inside a shopping center and may include common areas, maintenance areas, and mechanical spaces.

Employees may be exposed to moving equipment, electrical components, chemicals, dust, noise, wet or slippery surfaces, and other conditions associated with facility maintenance. Some tasks may require working at elevated heights using approved ladders or equipment.
