Housekeeper

Serenity for Life is a new women's residential program. It is a voluntary, 12-bed, luxury facility nestled in the mountains of Georgetown, Colorado. The number of beds and extended stay offers staff the ability to work closely with the residents and to make a difference in their lives, the lives of their loved ones, and the communities in which they reside.

We utilize evidence-based practices and provide trauma informed care.

Position Summary:

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, welcoming and healthy environment for clients, staff, and visitors. This position assists in providing a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols. The housekeeper works as part of a team identifying issues and recommending solutions.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleans and mops floor, assuring that all corners and baseboards are clean
• Maintains carpet, e.g., vacuums, spot cleans, and shampoos as assigned
• Launder linen as scheduled
• Cleans and disinfects public areas, meeting rooms, clinical areas, offices, restrooms, client rooms weekly and upon discharge, and spa area including sauna
• Disposes of trash, waste, and other materials
• Cleans and stores all equipment and supplies when finished and/or at end of shift
• Weekly maintenance of hot tubs, e.g., checking the water's pH and alkalinity, checking sanitizer levels, cleaning the filter and hot tub cover
• Manages inventory and restocks supplies as needed (e.g., cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, hand sanitizer, etc.). Keep carts and supply room(s) clean & orderly
• Examines property for safety hazards, reports problems to administrator
• Performs other related duties as requested

Qualifications and Preferences:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of standard housekeeping practices, techniques, equipment and supplies
• Housekeeping experience of 1-3 years preferred
• Thorough understanding of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
• Detail-oriented and thorough.
• Good interpersonal skills with polite and courteous demeanor towards team members, clients, and visitors to the property

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday, day shift

Employment is contingent upon:

• Satisfactory results from a criminal background investigation, which will include state and federal records;
• Verification of credentials and prior employment, where applicable;
• A negative result on a drug screening test.
