- Utilizing basic horticulture and landscaping skills, along with both hand- and powered-tools and equipment, to perform a wide variety of grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, and fertilizing.
- Utilizing basic mechanical skills and tools for maintaining ground maintenance equipment.
- Performing snow removal tasks and treating slippery or hazardous surfaces.
- Using good customer service skills during daily interactions with residents.
- Assisting Maintenance Department with basic repairs and/or routine maintenance, as needed.
n’s Herr Estate, located at 200 Luther Lane in Columbia, older adults enjoy a healthy, active retirement while living in our maintenance-free independent living cottages and apartments, with resort-style amenities and a full range of services. St. John’s Herr Estate also features on-site Personal Care for residents who need a little help and support to remain living as independently as possible.
The community is part of Luthercare, which is a not-for-profit, faith-based, and mission-driven organization based in Lititz, Pa. St. John’s Herr Estate residents have access to Luthercare’s network of services through its full continuum of care within two communities in Lancaster County.
- A valid driver’s license issued by the PA Department of Transportation.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and vocational or on-the-job training for this position.
- Valid PA pesticide applicator license.
- One (1) year of experience performing basic custodial duties.
- Ability to lift and move up to sixty (60) pounds.
- Basic computer skills.
