Central Shops Area Coordinator
This position supports the effective delivery of maintenance services by assisting Central Shops Supervisors with the planning, prioritization, scheduling, coordination of preventive, and corrective maintenance across assigned campus maintenance shops. This position helps ensure maintenance work is properly scoped, resourced and materials are identified in advance, schedules are coordinated with campus partners, and work is completed safely, efficiently, expeditiously, and with minimal disruption to teaching, research, and daily campus activities.
The Central Shops Coordinator serves as a key point of coordination among supervisors, skilled trades, area maintenance teams, Facilities leadership, customers, contractors and campus stakeholders. Through effective use of the CMMS, this role supports work order flow, backlog management, preventive maintenance compliance, outage coordination, service delivery, and continuous improvement.
Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 4 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Driver's license required.
Job duties include planning and scheduling maintenance, managing work orders, coordinating with campus customers, ensuring safety compliance, providing professional expertise, supporting contractor work, performing administrative tasks, providing backup leadership, and supporting capital projects.
