Job Summary
Under management’s direction, the Hospital Services Swing worker travels between customer healthcare facilities providing on‑site proactive collection and exchange of waste containers for various Stericycle programs. The role includes responsibilities such as Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, and Document Management. The worker also fills in for other team members and assists the supervisor as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Back up for Hospital Services Technicians by traveling between customer facilities to proactively monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers for Stericycle programs, including Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substance, and Document Shredding.
- Install products, review accounts, and assist the supervisor in asset and inventory management.
- Interact professionally with onsite customer staff to ensure service expectations are met or exceeded and resolve customer service questions and issues as needed.
- Maintain a rigorous collection and service schedule and assist with installs as required.
- Communicate duty status on a defined schedule.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Position requires extensive lifting, walking, bending, and pushing; the worker must be able to lift up to 55 pounds and push or pull carts weighing up to 500 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- On‑site presence at WMHS customer locations and compliance with all mandatory immunization requirements imposed by such customers.
- Two years of industry‑related experience in a customer service capacity preferred, or equivalent related work experience that demonstrates strong communication skills and tact in providing superior customer service.
- Valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or GED (accredited).
- Standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, eye‑hand‑foot coordination.
The expected base pay for this hybrid position is $19 per hour. The specific salary offered may be influenced by factors such as relevant experience, education, training, certifications, and work location.
