Join our Toyota Material Handling Team as a Facilities Technician
.
We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Facilities Technician who brings decisive decision‑making and expertise to the table, integrated into the Production Engineering team. The primary responsibility is preparing and maintaining the building and related infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Oversee operation of utilities and drive incremental kaizen improvements.
- Work with internal customers to deliver projects according to scheduled timing and budget.
- Make improvements to building management systems for control of plant lighting, HVAC control, and compressed air.
- Hands‑on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of facilities utility equipment.
- HVAC refrigerant troubleshooting.
- Capital project management of projects of $250,000 and foundation of Cap Ex project management.
- Oversee docks, overhead doors, pedestrian doors, and plant aisle installs and repairs.
- Manage outside contractor work and foundational HVAC equipment programming.
- Maintain plant utilities such as electrical, gas, water, and compressed air.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical, industrial, electrical, or construction management.
- 1–5 years of hands‑on experience preferred.
- Strong technical experience with troubleshooting capability and willingness to work hands‑on.
- Strong work ethic, intrinsic motivation, ability to organize work and multi‑task.
- Computer skills, including ability to prepare thorough, concise reports and justifications.
- Ability to work professionally with all levels of the organization.
In‑person role located at our Columbus, Indiana office.
Compensation & BenefitsSalary: $24‑$35 per hour (plus overtime if applicable), depending on education and experience.
