Position Summary / Resumen de posiciónThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This position performs preventative maintenance, responds to equipment issues, and supports continuous improvement efforts by identifying and resolving mechanical and electrical concerns.
Key Responsibilities / Responsabilidades clave- Perform routine inspections of facility equipment, machinery, and systems to ensure proper operation and identify potential issues.
- Conduct preventative maintenance activities, including cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, and scheduled maintenance tasks through the CARL maintenance system.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and facility-related issues as needed.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs to minimize production interruptions.
- Create, update, and monitor CARL work orders to ensure accurate maintenance records.
- Maintain inventory levels of new and used maintenance parts, tools, and supplies within the maintenance crib.
- Report significant equipment issues, safety concerns, or repair needs to management.
- Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and required documentation practices.
- Prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and identify root causes of failures.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and accurately.
- Ability to document maintenance activities and updates within the CARL maintenance system.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work safely while handling equipment repairs and maintenance activities.
- Work is performed in climate-controlled office areas, manufacturing environments with varying temperatures, and occasional outdoor conditions.
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, climbing ladders, bending, reaching, and working in elevated or confined spaces.
- Exposure to loud machinery, electrical components, moving equipment, and industrial environments.
- Must follow all safety requirements and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including ANSI Z87.1-2003 compliant safety glasses while inside the plant.
