Seasonal Facilities Groundskeeper

Job Summary

The Seasonal Groundskeeper is responsible for the daily upkeep of the property grounds, including picking up trash, lawn maintenance, seasonal upkeep, and basic mechanical abilities for property equipment.

• General knowledge of pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers used in landscaping and turf systems
• General knowledge of automatic sprinkler systems
• Must be able to operate mower, trimmers, snow blowers, vacuums, power washers, and all gardening tools
• Ability to learn and comply with the laws and regulations affecting the casino and racing industry.
• Excellent customer and employee relationship skills
• Must be able to read, speak, and write the English language
• Valid Driver’s license with clean MVR
• Ability to operate company equipment and vehicles
• Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards
• Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment
• Read, write, and understand complex instructions and appropriately complete all necessary documentation

Organize and run special projects to ensure their proper completion.

Must consistently have a good attitude, be friendly, outgoing, provide excellent guest service, and always work well with fellow employees.

Maintain regular, predictable attendance in accordance with policy.

• High School diploma or GED required
• Must be able to obtain a Nebraska gaming license
• Must be at least 19 years of age to work in the Casino
• Must have a strong mechanical aptitude
• Background working knowledge with small engines and general maintenance and repairs
• Must be able to work in climates for all seasons, to include heat over 100°F and to include temperatures below 30°F. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds.

Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds.

Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively.

Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for an extended period.
