Technical Specialist, Facilities - Corporate Real Estate - SS

* Uses advanced skills to perform maintenance service and repairs in a specialized technical and skilled trade (see detailed responsibilities by skilled trades below) for Nationwide facilities.
* Develops and ensures maximum operational efficiency of facilities and equipment, as well as upkeep of all grounds and support equipment, through the direction of a technical support staff.
* Ensures all systems, including utility infrastructure, are fully operational and inspected according to accepted standards and practices, including preventive maintenance schedules.
* Acts as a specialist for specific maintenance tasks for service and repairs in specialty areas.
* May be a team lead of a staff responsible for the operation and maintenance of HVAC and life safety systems, as well as mechanical equipment such as boilers, large chillers, air compressors, generators, motors, turbines, pumps and ventilating and refrigeration equipment in a large commercial facility.
* Provides advice and guidance to complete complex projects.
* May assist supervisor with project budget oversight.
* Responds to customer service requests and responds to all maintenance, fire systems and emergency calls.
* Assists the supervisor with work team issues including safety compliance and training, workflow planning and day-to-day administration.
* Remains familiar with and follows all federal, state and local safety and environmental laws and regulations.
