Summary:
Responsible for the ongoing daily custodial duties for the Ohio History Center, Ohio Village, Collections Care Center, and Collections Warehouse.
- Clean and maintain floor surfaces—sweep, mop, strip wax, and polish hard floor surfaces. Vacuum and clean carpet.
- Wash walls and windows, dust, and wax furniture and fixtures.
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms.
- Perform set up and tear down for events and programs as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma plus one to three years of working experience.
- Comfortable communicating with staff and the public.
- Knowledge of operating custodial equipment, such as floor cleaners and surface disinfecting sprayers.
- Understanding of safe procedures and usage of chemicals used in custodial tasks.
- Locate and use resources to get things done, use them effectively and efficiently, and arrange information in a useful manner.
- Assume accountability of the role and responsibilities; anticipate the needs of others.
- Process information consistently, simultaneously displaying adaptability when necessary.
- Carry out duties assigned by supervisor.

BackgroundScreening
