Job SummaryAs a member of the Athletic Department, a facility Operations Student Assistant will perform a variety of tasks in support of the thirty‑six varsity teams at Ohio State. The applicant will collaborate with full‑time Facility Operations staff to meet and exceed the needs of building occupants and fans. A successful candidate will enjoy flexible scheduling, work alongside fellow students, and gain exposure to Ohio State Athletics events, venues, teams, and staff.
Responsibilities- Daily housekeeping and maintenance of locker rooms, offices, practice spaces, athletic fields, stadiums, and other facilities.
- Game, event, and practice setup and tear down, including building conversions.
- Maintain cleanliness and setup of facilities and grounds before, during, and after events and competitions.
- Perform light maintenance such as painting, changing ceiling tile, and use of hand tools.
- Availability to work a minimum of ten hours per week, including event coverage on nights and weekends.
- Customer‑service focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently or in a group.
- Strong attention to detail.
Starting rate: $13 per hour.
Location: Schumaker Complex (1011)
Position type: Temporary (Fixed Term)
Scheduled hours: 15
Shift: Varying shifts.
Background check: Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
