Janitor/Cleaner

A global manufacturer of building products is seeking a dependable, full-time Janitor to maintain clean, safe, and organized facilities. This position is responsible for cleaning the interior and exterior of the North Plant and South Plant. The Janitor will travel between both locations during the workday.

• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, breakrooms, offices, hallways, entrances, production areas, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and maintain floors.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and move waste to designated disposal areas.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, fixtures, tables, countertops, and equipment exteriors.
• Restock soap, paper products, sanitizer, and other janitorial supplies.
• Pick up trash and debris from parking lots, sidewalks, entrances, loading areas, and outdoor spaces.
• Respond promptly to spills and place appropriate warning signs.
• Maintain cleaning carts, janitorial closets, equipment, and supplies.
• Follow proper procedures for using and storing cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain 6S standards:
  Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety.
• Report safety hazards, leaks, damaged equipment, or low supplies to management.
• Assist with deep cleaning, seasonal cleanup, and other duties as assigned.

• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Dependable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or industrial cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
• Able to follow cleaning procedures, written instructions, and safety guidelines.

• Able to stand and walk for a 10-hour shift.
• Able to bend, reach, squat, kneel, push, pull, lift, and carry cleaning supplies and trash.
• Comfortable using mops, brooms, vacuums, floor scrubbers, and cleaning carts.
• Must wear required personal protective equipment.
