SUMMARYRHM Real Estate Group is seeking a talented and dynamic Facilities Coordinator
- Multifamily Properties to strengthen and support our Facilities team over a designated conventional multifamily apartment portfolio. This role will play a key role in onboarding and training new site maintenance personnel, ensuring compliance with maintenance standards, and providing direct hands-on support over multifamily properties across Northeast Ohio. RESPONSIBILITES
- Lead onboarding and technical training for new maintenance personnel across the designated portfolio.
- Serve as an ongoing mentor and resource to less experienced team members.
- Serve as liaison for on-going renovation projects, unit turns, and vendor coordination.
- Reinforce company standards, safety practices, and maintenance processes.
- Conduct routine site inspections in line with the facilities department's cadence.
- Ensure compliance with maintenance processes, including unit turn standards, preventative maintenance programming, and readiness for state and syndicator inspections.
- Document inspection results and follow up on corrective actions.
- Serve as part of the facilities on-call tree, acting as the first point of contact at the corporate level.
- Provide direct support for overdue work orders, unit turns, and other critical maintenance backlogs.
- Fill in temporarily for open maintenance positions as needed to ensure continuity of service.
- Partner closely with property-level staff and regional leadership to support operational efficiency and resident satisfaction.
- Report regularly to the Facilities Manager on training progress, compliance status, and site needs.
- Assist in developing and refining facilities procedures to improve performance across the designated portfolio.
- Work with contractors as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3-5 years of experience in maintenance, facilities management, or a related field; multi-site or regional experience preferred.
- Proven ability to train, coach, and mentor team members.
- Strong knowledge of unit turns, preventative maintenance programs, and compliance standards.
- Hands-on technical skills with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance preferred.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and travel across the designated portfolio.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to model professionalism and accountability.
- MUST SUPPLY YOUR OWN TOOLS (the building will supply specialty tools such as drain sake, extension ladders).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Working off ladders up to 20 ft off the ground. Working off stepladders up to 10 feet inside apartments.
- Work under sinks and around appliances by bending own or lying on your back.
- Moving appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers and ranges.
- Lifting and carrying up to 80 pounds.
- Bending over appliances or mechanical equipment for repairs or cleaning.
- Walking and/or standing for an entire workday.
- Climbing flights of stairs to access work on higher floors.
- Assembling small parts in appliances, mechanical equipment, plumbing, and electrical fixtures, etc.
- Reading repair instructions.
- Logging or describing in writing work hours, repairs made and or materials used.
- Working in inclement weather.
- Operating hand and power tools.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- $28.00/hr - $32.00/hr (based on qualifications and prior experience)
