Job Description Overview :

Are you a talented maintenance professional who takes pride in their work? A problem solver? Someone who likes to work within a team environment? If so, this job could be for you!

Position Summary:

Assists in performing a variety of custodial and general maintenance duties related to apartment turns at a multifamily residential property. This includes heavy cleaning duties, painting, repairing apartment interiors, and basic maintenance tasks. This position reports needed repairs to the maintenance supervisor to help property meet regulated standards.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Performs basic maintenance functions under the guidance of the maintenance supervisor with apartment turns. This may include drywall repair, painting, etc. (40%)2. Responsible for cleaning vacant apartments and common areas. (40%)3. Assists the Maintenance Technicians with managing work orders related to apartment turns and preventative maintenance. (10%)4. Provides excellent customer service to residents with friendliness, positive attitude, empathy, and responsibility.

(10%)Requirements:

The Make-Ready Maintenance Technician required and preferred qualifications within the apartment community:1-2 years of required experience in Commercial Property or Multi-Unit Residential Property.

This position requires a High School Diploma/GED. 3-4 years of experience can offset minimum educational requirements for this position.

Preferred certifications for this position include: HVAC (depending on property), Electrical, or Plumbing.

This position may require a valid driver’s license depending on the needs of the property.

Required skills:

self-motivated, team-player, communication, interpersonal, attention to detail, customer service, and personal accountability.

Computer and smart phone literacy required. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, for all work-related responsibilities. Multilingual skills are a plus.
