Maintenance and Reliability Manager
As Maintenance and Reliability Manager, you will lead the maintenance and reliability team to enable the plant's successful delivery of products. You will recommend simplifications and streamline day‑to‑day work processes while solving complex problems.
Responsibilities- Manage the maintenance team, setting vision, strategy, and goals.
- Oversee contractors and technical service technicians.
- Plan, repair, maintain, and install machines, tools, and equipment in manufacturing operations.
- Eliminate causes of failure and extend useful life of equipment.
- Develop and manage the maintenance budget and long‑term capital projects.
- Inspect operating machines and equipment for compliance with operational standards.
- Review production, quality control, and maintenance reports to plan and modify maintenance activities.
- Maintain accuracy and inventory of MRO supplies.
- Prioritize planned maintenance schedule in conjunction with other departments.
- Establish criteria for assessing quality and safety of work performed by team members and contractors.
- Manage completion of work through reliability reports, site inspections, and conferences with operations and vendors.
- Investigate condition of buildings, equipment, and grounds and recommend improvements.
- Evaluate maintenance personnel skills and develop training programs.
- Manage work‑order backlog and ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, quality specifications, safety standards, and sanitation practices.
- Bachelor’s degree with 5–8 years of relevant experience or high‑school diploma/GED with 9–12 years and 2–3 years of supervisory experience.
- Subject‑matter expert in maintenance processes, activities, and management systems.
- Experience in managing capital projects and executing budgets.
- Knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance technologies.
- Understanding of operating context of site assets/process systems.
- Experience with maintenance safety practices.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers and electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience with computer maintenance management systems.
- Knowledge of food safety requirements and HACCP.
- Wear personal protective equipment as required.
- Work rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Operate in a machine‑paced continuous process operating 24/7 with heat/cold temperatures, dusty environment, frequent vibration, and elevated places.
- Perform work at a computer and other administrative tasks.
- Travel up to 5 %.
- Willing to work weekends, holidays, 7‑day weeks, and opposing shifts when needed.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Team members must be clean shaven to perform tasks requiring respiratory protection.
