This position is a key support role for our FAA Approved Part 145 Aircraft Repair Station and Cessna Service Center. The parts technician reports directly to our Chief Inspector and is responsible for purchasing, warehousing, and distributing inventory. The duties include ordering, identifying, controlling, segregating, and maintaining all parts, stock, tools, and inventory. In addition, the Parts Technician is responsible for preservation and tracking of all articles, parts and inventory that are subject to deterioration and shelf life limitations.
The applicant must be comfortable working in a diverse environment and must have a valid California Driver’s License.
- Experience or training demonstrating the ability to use Excel, Word, Email, Google Docs, and similar applications to produce written correspondence, create spreadsheets, and manage e-mail and tasks.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to be a collaborative team member.
- Ability to adapt to change and effectively handle stressful or adverse situations.
- Ability to effectively organize multiple assignments while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
- Experience demonstrating the ability to take initiative to accomplish tasks, independently prioritize work, pay attention to details, complete work in a timely manner, and adjust tasks as circumstances dictate.
- Experience working in a warehouse or maintenance environment.
- Takes responsibility of all incoming and outgoing parts including parts sold over the counter as well as for internal work orders
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and policies.
- Track, maintain, and order as necessary all consumables such as oil, solvent and cleaning supplies.
- Removal of all waste products generated by the facility.
- Responsible for maintaining calibration records of Precision Tools and that the necessary periodic checks are compiled with.
- Distribute any pertinent miscellaneous and/or technical information received by the parts department.
- Perform receiving inspections and warehouse inventory in accordance with the RSM/QCM.
- Other duties as assigned.
Starting Pay: $25/hour
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday (8:00am to 4:30pm)
