PART-TIME JOB OPPORTUNITY CAMP CONCORD (SEASONAL)
The City Of Concord's Recreation Services Department is seeking people to work for the City’s Camp Concord Program. This position is open until filled and may close at any time. Salary is negotiable based on experience.
Salary- Facility Specialist: $18.54–$20.47 per hour or $144.79–$151.55 per day (plus room and board)
- Lead Facility Specialist: $26.85–$29.63 per hour
Under supervision, the Lead Facility Specialist and Facility Specialist work together in camp operations, focusing specifically on grounds, building, and custodial maintenance on over 45 structures, including the main lodge, institutional food service facility, and associated equipment and vehicles.
- Maintenance of water, sewer, and electrical systems across the Camp Concord grounds.
- Scheduling and oversight of staff work days and hours in collaboration with the Camp Director.
- Executing day‑to‑day custodial tasks, including cleaning, washing, and stock replenishment.
- Performing routine and preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation, and waste systems.
- Overseeing groundskeeping tasks such as firewood management, trail brush removal, and road maintenance.
- Maintaining camp security and ensuring a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Preparing surfaces, painting, refinishing furniture, and removing graffiti.
- Managing camp opening and closing procedures, including winterization and inventory checks.
- Coordinating emergency responses and other ad‑hoc duties as assigned.
- Implement preventative and corrective maintenance services in cooperation with the Camp Director and the City of Concord Maintenance Services Department.
- Provide direction and supervision to unskilled maintenance staff and coordinate volunteer projects.
- Consult with the Camp Director and leadership team on job priorities, work progress, and maintenance issues.
- Maintain monthly project reports and monitor expenditures to ensure budget compliance.
- Purchase supplies and maintain inventory records.
- Schedule staff work days and hours based on daily and seasonal maintenance needs.

- Can participate in mandatory, paid staff orientation training on June 2, 2025.
- Is detail oriented, able to multi‑task, and has excellent time‑management skills.
- Has knowledge and experience in basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing, custodial, and landscape maintenance.
- Demonstrates excellent hospitality and customer service, with the ability to remain composed under pressure.
- Is solution oriented and can effectively make difficult decisions in a timely manner.
- Is flexible, yet dependable.
