This role focuses on maintaining a clean and safe environment for senior residents in a home‑like work setting. The position is located at 68 Commonwealth Avenue, Concord, MA.
SCHEDULEFull Time: 40 hours per week;
Monday – Friday
Annual rate starting at $70,000

- Perform hands‑on maintenance and repair work and direct maintenance technicians in performing maintenance and repair duties.
- Manage and conduct service and maintenance requests from residents, maintain landscaping and overall community appearance, keep building interior and exterior in good repair, and ensure proper cleaning of the building.
- Schedule and conduct preventive maintenance programs for HVAC, plumbing, water, gas, electrical, mechanical, sprinkler/fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, communications, carpentry, painting, plastering, refinishing, and similar work.
- Schedule repairs and routine maintenance for all institutional equipment, appliances, and vehicles, including the community van.
- Supervise work for apartment turnovers with rapid turnaround, including refinishing, new carpet installation, and paint touch‑ups.
- Monitor and manage the department budget.
- Direct and supervise all department staff, including housekeeping/laundry associates, and enforce compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, state/federal codes, safe work practices, budget development, fiscal management, and maintenance trades (must).
- Experience with plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, and preventive maintenance (preferred).
- Physical ability to stand, lift (up to 30 pounds) and bend; lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Effective communication skills with residents, co‑workers, and families.
- Ability to learn new technologies and use project management tools (e.g., TELS).
- At least one year of experience supervising or training staff.
- Reliability and punctuality to support residents’ daily living activities.
