- Salary: 19.96 USD – 26.41 USD per hour (plus $60 Hazardous Duty Pay paid biweekly)
6:30 am – 2:30 pm with Sundays and Mondays off.
SummaryPerforms responsible technical and supervisory work in directing a program of building maintenance and heating plant operations at the New Hampshire State Prison for Men and other related work as required.
Works in close and immediate contact with prisoners on a daily basis, having responsibility for security.
Your Experience Counts:
Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
- Equivalent combination of 3 years of education and experience after completion of high school.
- Education and experience must be in engineering, building trades, maintenance, repair or construction of buildings.
- At least 1 year in a supervisory level position.
Valid Driver's License and access to transportation for statewide travel.
Other Requirements- Must pass security and background screenings required for correctional environments.
- Must be available for on‑call through rotating schedule for off‑hours coverage to respond to emergencies and requests for timely assistance, in accordance with departmental policy.
- Must be willing to work an extended and/or flexible schedule, to include nights and weekends for emergency response to needs at the facility.
