Position: Full‑Time, 2nd Shift
Location: 36 Clinton St., Concord, NH 03301
Salary: $14.40/hour – $20.80/hour

SummaryBuilding Cleaning Workers I perform independent cleaning, custodial, or janitorial duties across multiple units. Building Cleaning Workers II serve as crew leads or shift point persons and independently provide full range of cleaning duties.
Responsibilities Building Cleaning Workers I- Perform light to heavy physical custodial activities requiring use of arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, or handling equipment and materials for dusting, vacuuming, stripping, buffing, waxing floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and disinfecting.
- Carry out routine building and facilities maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, adjusting or replacing fixtures, and resetting machinery or environmental systems.
- Remove snow, debris, or garbage from grounds and walkways; salt and sand when needed. Mow, cut hedges and trim grass. Move beds, furniture, equipment, partitions, materials, or supplies manually or with hand trucks.
- Check cleaning tools/equipment condition and replace or repair as needed; observe operation of building or facility's mechanical, safety, or environmental systems and notify supervisor or team lead of any issues or concerns.
- Apply appropriate solvents, chemicals, and disinfectants; remove contaminated and non‑contaminated waste from buildings/facilities; dispose of waste in prescribed manner; adhere to health and safety requirements relevant to the work area or facility.
- Stock supplies and advise team lead or supervisor when inventory is low or supplies are needed.
- Lead and mentor individuals or crews and ensure cleaning, shift details, and projects are completed on schedule in the area(s) of responsibility; inspect and review the work of team members to ensure quality and compliance with health and safety standards. Recommend personnel actions or changes to standard operational procedures to supervisor.
- Interact with building or facility employees, residents, patients, or contractors. Investigate complaints about cleanliness, service, or equipment issues and take corrective actions on‑site. Respond to immediate safety and/or maintenance concerns; refer escalated issues for resolution to supervisor.
- Complete daily activity reports, logs, or notes as necessary. Inventory stock to ensure supplies and equipment are available in adequate amounts and order or advise supervisor of what is needed.

Building Cleaning Worker I: 8th Grade Education; no license or certification required.
Building Cleaning Worker II: High School Diploma or equivalent; no license or certification required.
Preferred Qualifications Level I – Building Cleaning Worker I- Knowledge of methods and practices of cleaning services in a large complex, health facility, or building.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Knowledge of quality standards for health, environment, and safety.
- Ability to read, write, and prepare written and oral reports.
