Scientific - Technician; Facilities & Equipment Services; Entry Level

Overview

100% onsite at 4800 Davis Drive Morrisville, NC 27560. Shift - Overnight Sunday-Thursday from 10 pm-7am. Training for the position will happen for approximately 1 month M-F 8-5.

• Ability to work independently
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems or a desire to learn
• Ability to use hand tools (hobbies that include fixing or tinkering with things is always a plus)

• Ensure operation of custom automated laboratory equipment by completing preventative and corrective maintenance in accordance with IDT's quality policy
• Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, fluidic, and optical devices/systems, as well as PLC controlled systems
• Practices safe working habits, follows all IDT safety policies, identifies, corrects, and reports potential safety hazards

• High School diploma or GED
• Proficiency in a variety of PC software programs with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge and use of a variety of hand tools

• Reading and interpreting blue prints and equipment schematics
• Previous laboratory and chemical handling experience

• This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
