Position: Facilities Technician I

Location

Huntington Gateway Center, Columbus, Ohio. Some travel to Easton Facility may be required.

Summary

Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of Huntington Bank property, including grounds and physical facilities. Responsibilities include all aspects of maintenance, construction, remodeling, and large project assistance. Partner with internal colleagues in Real Estate, Marketing, Security, and other projects. Provide management, oversight, and liaison for vendors and contractors. Excellent communication skills, computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, and knowledge of building fire system operations, emergency generator systems, and HVAC are required.

Schedule

Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. On-call 24/7 for emergency response. Overtime is mandatory based on business need.

Responsibilities
  • Self-perform 40-60% of maintenance work including project planning, budgeting, construction, relocation, and remodeling.
  • Provide oversight and liaison for vendors and contractors.
  • Communicate with internal colleagues, customers, and owners.
  • Participate in staff and departmental meetings.
  • Complete required in-person and online training sessions.
  • Conduct annual site assessments and record them in the Facility Management work order software.
  • Provide support to the Regional Facilities Administrator and Regional Facility Manager.
  • Event support for meetings, ceremonies, and gatherings.
  • Interim HVAC filter changes.
  • Lighting repairs.
  • Electrical repairs.
  • Non-specific tasks as required.
Essential Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 or more years of Facilities Management experience, including preventative maintenance, minor plumbing, heating/cooling, basic electrical repairs, furniture moves, and coordination of maintenance with vendors.
  • Experience maintaining a budget for facility repairs and reviewing vendor proposals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Computer proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with Facilities Management software.
  • Knowledge of building maintenance, including HVAC, building fire systems, and emergency generator systems.
  • Ability to lift loads of up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good project management skills, including budgeting and documentation.
  • Strong time management.
Exempt Status

This position is exempt (not eligible for overtime pay).

Workplace Type

Office. Certain positions may be eligible for flexible work arrangements, combining in-office and remote work. Remote roles may have opportunities to work from the office as needed.
