Job Overview
Environmental Services Technician (Full Time). Clean and maintain medical facilities to ensure a safe and healthy environment for employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Perform complete cleaning of assigned areas: dusting, sanitizing furniture, equipment, mirrors and fixtures, washing windows, walls, ceilings, vents, and light fixtures; sweeping, scrubbing, and refinishing floors; vacuuming and shampooing carpet; restocking restrooms; replacing light bulbs; reporting repairs.
- Assist with outdoor cleaning, including parking lot, windows, and roof; use ladders as required.
- Handle cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, floor strippers and finishes.
- Collect and transport soiled linen, empty trash containers, change sharps containers, transport solid and hazardous waste to compactors, and recycle materials.
- Keep equipment clean and orderly; report equipment failures or mechanical issues to maintenance.
- Maintain a safe working environment and provide quality service by complying with procedures, infection control guidelines, and departmental quality standards.
- Attend required in‑service education and training classes, including safety updates.
- Meet time schedules and deadlines consistently.
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
- At least one year of relevant experience (preferred).
- Able to prioritize assignments and complete work in a timely manner.
- Capable of operating cleaning equipment.
- Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with co‑workers.
- Repetitive work following set procedures.
- Fast‑paced and stressful conditions.
- Works in contaminated, isolation, construction, and renovation areas.
- Occasional work in extreme temperatures and around unpleasant smells.
- Exposure to patients with various mental, physical conditions, and illnesses.
Pay range: $18.85 – $28.30 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
