Technical Source is currently seeking a Utilities Maintenance Technician II to support a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in the Wilson/Rocky Mount, NC area. This position is responsible for the operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of critical utility systems that support GMP manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience and a strong background working with clean utility systems.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, operate, monitor, and maintain critical utility systems to ensure reliable plant operations.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on clean utility equipment and systems.
- Monitor system performance and respond to alarms, deviations, and equipment failures in a timely manner.
- Maintain and support purified water (PW), water for injection (WFI), clean steam, compressed air, cooling tower, and other critical utility systems.
- Perform routine inspections, equipment checks, and documentation in accordance with GMP requirements.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Validation, and Quality teams to support production and minimize downtime.
- Accurately document maintenance activities using the site's maintenance management system.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and cGMP procedures while maintaining compliance with company policies.
- 4-5 years of maintenance experience within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and maintaining clean utility systems.
- Experience supporting:
- Purified Water (PW) Systems
- Compressed Air Systems
- Cooling Towers
- Clean Steam Systems
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose equipment issues efficiently.
- Working knowledge of cGMP regulations and pharmaceutical maintenance practices.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience working in a high-volume pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Technical degree, military maintenance background, or equivalent hands‑on experience is preferred.
