Job Summary
Detail Wash Attendant, located in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. Responsible for washing and detailing tractor and trailer equipment to company standards under close supervision. The position may involve outdoor work, multiple shifts including nights and weekends, and overtime; full-time attendance is required.
Key Responsibilities- Wash and detail tractor and trailer equipment
- Observe all company safety requirements
- Assist with maintenance of labeling and inventory of supplies
- Transport materials, equipment, or supplies using carts
- Sweep, shovel, or vacuum loose debris or salvageable scrap into containers and remove containers from work areas
- Inspect parts, equipment, or vehicles for cleanliness and minor damage
- Clean and polish vehicle windows
- Follow company regulations for sanitization of vehicles, both in and outside of the cab
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform safety checks on vehicles to ensure they meet company standards, including lock‑out keys and shop/chock blocks
- Minimum:
High school diploma or GED equivalent - Preferred:
Up to 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience - Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work outdoors, in the elements, and across multiple shifts including nights and weekends if needed
- Discretion, multitasking, independent and team work skills
- Basic deductive reasoning, active listening, time management, and self‑motivation
- Physical capability to lift above 50 lbs, bend, stoop, push, and pull
- Ability to wear appropriate protective gear/PPE
Starting pay range: $16.55 – $24.80 per hour, based on skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications. Eligible for annual bonus and incentives in line with the company’s plans.
