Peak Season Repair Specialist

Overview

The Peak Season Repair Specialist serves as a pathway to full‑time employment with Safelite. In this role you will utilize our industry‑leading technology to complete vehicle glass repairs and champion the Safelite Spirit with a can‑do attitude, caring heart, and service mindset.

• Learn to repair vehicle glass in the classroom and hands‑on, focusing on the Safelite Way of Fitting under the guidance of experienced technicians and leaders.
• Repair chips, cracks and other auto‑glass related issues on customer vehicles.
• Manage work orders, customer documentation and customer communication through the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
• Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
• Clean customer vehicle during wait/idle time and perform additional housekeeping tasks in company vehicle and shop.
• Safely operate company and customer vehicles, company‑issued tools and chemicals throughout the workday.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.

• Competitive weekly base pay starting at $20.25 per hour.

• High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent (Preferred).
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license and, if required by federal, state or local laws, additional licenses to operate a company vehicle.
• On‑the‑job training/completion of Safelite Safe Tech™ certification.
• Must be 18years of age or older.

• Lifting and carrying up to 25lb. for short periods; assist an associate with lifting windshields weighing 26–50lb.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist the body.
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with all federal, state and local laws and with monitoring via camera/video surveillance.
• Maintain professionalism and passion for outstanding customer service.
• Ability to work safely outside in various weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
• Ability to work with chemicals, including flammable chemicals, as applicable to the Safelite Way of Fitting.
• Maintain flexibility on start and end times to accommodate customer needs.
• Problem‑solving and troubleshooting independently and collaboratively.
• Read, write and interpret English language and technical directions.
• Communicate orally (via phone) and in writing (via computer or other electronic means).
• Maintain professional appearance, adhering to company uniform and PPE policies.
• Willingness and ability to maintain stable performance under professional or personal pressure.

This position involves driving duties that will be monitored through the use of cameras, GPS, and other tracking technologies to ensure safety and compliance.
