Resort Housekeeper

Resort Housekeepers are responsible for regularly cleaning resort facilities, buildings and rental properties to ensure the resort remains presentable and sanitary at all times. Job duties include cleaning, sanitizing, and stocking areas with products as needed. Ensuring all tables and chairs are clean and functioning properly. Cleaning and sanitizing appliances to ensure they are free of food particles, mold and mildew.

Defrosting freezer as needed. Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, ensuring they are well lit, and placing rubber mats down to ensure safety. Following all established safety procedures and precautions. Reporting all unsafe or hazardous conditions, incidents, accidents, and/or defective equipment to their manager. Ensuring that the overall appearance of the resort, buildings and facilities are well maintained and orderly. Ensuring all floors are swept, vacuumed, mopped, waxed, and buffed as needed.

Ensuring that all windows and screens are clean and functioning properly. Maintaining washers and dryers by wiping surfaces, removing lint, etc. Ensuring all offices and buildings are clean and neat. Empties trash containers as needed. Ensuring all vents and filters are cleaned and changed as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 6 months in previous experience cleaning homes or other large facilities, demonstrated knowledge of general janitorial work, knowledge of safety measures when using various cleaning chemicals, abilities to lift at least 25 pounds, basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and internet, and a valid driver's license.
