We are seeking a skilled, highly motivated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they meet both customer and manufacturer specifications. This role requires technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and computer systems, as well as a dedication to safety and quality service. And an ability to work closely with, communicate, train and encourage volunteers that help us repair vehicles to meet client needs.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES- Diagnosis & Repair:
Use advanced diagnostic equipment to identify malfunctions and perform repairs on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, and suspension. - Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, and wheel alignments. - Inspection:
Conduct thorough safety inspections and road tests to ensure vehicle functionality. - Documentation:
Accurately document all services, repairs, and inspections on the repair order. - Manufacturer Specs:
Ensure all work adheres to manufacturer specifications (OEM standards). - Shop Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation, ensuring tools and equipment are kept in good working order.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in automotive repair (preferable in a dealership or independent shop setting).
- ASE certification (preferred, or willingness to obtain).
- In-depth knowledge of, and ability to work on, various vehicle brands.
- Proficiency with diagnostic scan tools and modern workshop equipment.
- Efficiently navigate a computer.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet or exceed hourly goals.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
- Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
- Professional appearance and strong communication.
- A desire for long-term career development.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle’s needed repair.
- Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools.
