Assistant Custodial Supervisor

Custodial Services North - 935

Assist in the supervision of personnel to maintain equipment, clean, and disinfect school facilities. Assume the duties of any custodian or lead custodian in the District when needed. Deliver supplies and equipment wherever needed. This position will entail some extended hours, evenings, and weekends.

• Lead and direct other custodians.
• Responsible for seeing that all work schedules are carried out.
• Move furniture and equipment.
• Perform all Custodian and Lead Custodian duties for work assignments.
• Responsible for the upkeep of all Custodial equipment.
• Responsible for the use of all Custodial equipment, chemicals, and supplies for work assignment.
• Assist in the set-up of special District events such as graduation ceremonies, Board meetings, community meetings, etc.
• Respond to emergency calls as needed and be on-call/stand-by as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Trained in all District Custodial work
• One year custodial experience with District Custodial Department
• Safe driving record

Education/Certification:

• Valid High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Texas Driver’s License

Special Knowledge/

Skills:

• Organizational skills
• Have a working knowledge of all custodial jobs in the District.
• Must be able to organize and lead crews.
• Must be able to operate all vehicles and equipment belonging to custodial.
• Must have strong mechanical skills.

Lead Custodians/Custodians

Buffer, stripper, wet and dry vacuum cleaner, electric drill, hand tools, extractor, mop, broom, motorized scrubber, and District delivery vehicles

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent district travel; occasional prolonged and irregular hours. Lifting of heavy furniture and equipment (up to 50 pounds).

PAY GRADE: AUX - 7 - Minimum hourly rate - $24.50.
