The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance to ensure apartment homes, common areas, and community facilities are maintained in a safe, clean, and functional condition. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, knowledge of building maintenance systems, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on apartments, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, and appliance repairs.
  • Complete work orders accurately and efficiently while meeting company standards and deadlines.
  • Prepare vacant apartment units for new residents by completing make‑ready repairs and inspections.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and community amenities.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
  • Maintain the grounds, common areas, and exterior of the property as needed.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and participate in the on‑call rotation when required.
  • Inspect buildings and equipment to identify repair needs and safety concerns.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service when interacting with residents and team members.
  • Perform additional maintenance duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or general maintenance experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues efficiently.
  • Basic computer skills for completing work orders and maintenance documentation.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
