Job Overview
Full‑time Building / Grounds Specialist II (Building/Grounds Specialist II). Responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of university housing facilities, ensuring safe and sanitary environments for residents and staff.
Responsibilities- Clean surfaces, floors, and inventory.
- Maintain refuse and recyclables.
- Participate in planned, preventative, and unexpected maintenance work.
- Maintain a safe working environment, including responsible practices and risk mitigation.
- Maintain equipment and report maintenance and supply needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of six months of cleaning experience.
- Ability to drive a golf cart.
- Collaboration within a team environment.
- Risk mitigation and adherence to safety procedures.
- Multitasking, decision‑making, and maintaining working relationships.
- Knowledge of cleaning tools, equipment, products, and techniques.
- Proficiency with personal protective equipment including footwear, gloves, masks, eye protection, and other gear.
- Effective written and oral communication with a variety of stakeholders.
- Problem‑solving and safety‑oriented decision making.
- Ability to use technology, software, and devices to manage and document work.
Must be flexible to meet special scheduling needs and participate in campus‑wide emergencies such as weather and structural emergencies.
BenefitsSalary range: $30,700.00–$39,900.00. Full‑time position with benefits, 37.5 hours per week, normal work schedule Monday through Thursday 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and Friday 6:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Minimal overtime required.
