Housing Custodian
Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following full‑time position:
Housing Custodian in University Housing.
High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of six months cleaning experience.
Duties include, but are not limited to:- Cleans surfaces, floors, and inventory.
- Maintains refuse and recyclables.
- Participates in planned, preventative, and unexpected work.
- Maintains safe working environment, including responsible practices and risk mitigation.
- Maintains equipment and reports maintenance and supply needs.
Must understand how to collaborate within a team, mitigate risks, follow safety procedures, multi‑task, make good decisions, and maintain working relationships. Must have knowledge of cleaning tools, equipment, products, and techniques; and be able to wear a variety of personal protective equipment, including footwear, gloves, mask, eye protection, and others. Must communicate written and orally with a variety of stakeholders, learn, problem‑solve, make safe decisions, and utilize technology, software, and devices to manage and document work.
Must be able to drive a golf cart.
