Janitor, Maintenance​/Cleaning, Cleaning Services

Position Summary

Janitorial I assists Janitorial II in maintaining the general cleanliness and upkeep of the building common areas. This position must also follow safety precautions to prevent product contamination and injuries to self or others while maintaining compliance with cGMP protocols.

Overtime may be required for this position.

• Adhere to safety protocols at all times and report facility or safety incidents to management.
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Keep facilities and common areas clean and maintained.
• Vacuum, sweep, buff and mop floors.
• Clean and stock restrooms.
• Restock cleaning supply closets.
• Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
• Notify managers of necessary repairs.
• Collect and dispose of trash.
• Assist guests when necessary.
• Properly clean upholstered furniture.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Interpret and complete a daily cleaning checklist.
• Use an electronic timecard or App for timekeeping and payroll purposes.
• Basic math skills.
• Operate different cleaning equipment such as a pressure washer, floor scrubber, floor buffer, etc., or willingness to learn.
• Be able to read and write English (preferred).

• Ability to manage time efficiently.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Work well unsupervised.
• Work effectively with others.
• Handle basic maintenance and cleaning.
• High school diploma (preferred).

• Regularly sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to sit, balance, climb, stand, bend, squat, squeeze, kneel, turn, crouch, stoop, push, and pull repeatedly.
• Physically able to lift 50 pounds frequently.
• Frequent exposure to varying temperatures, loud noises, heavy machinery, fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, electrical current, chemicals, and vibrations.
