The Equipment Service Technician will assist the Fleet Mechanic/Driver with the operation and continued maintenance of North American Disaster Relief's (NADR) fleet of vehicles and supporting equipment at Samaritan's Purse. You will travel to field sites, provide logistical support, assist with tool management while ensuring the safety and quality of work for staff and volunteers. On a daily basis, you will interact and connect with volunteers, homeowners and staff.

Responsibilities and Qualifications- Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.
- Travel to field sites to maintain and operate vehicles and equipment, provide logistical support, assist with tool management and project site instruction and ensure the safety and quality of work.
- Ensure regular maintenance, repairs, and cleanliness of the department's vehicle fleet and equipment. Maintain the equipment in response-ready mode and ensure all work performed is recorded properly on the check list and work orders.
- Recognize quality work as being a Christian witness. This pertains to all work, including the cleanliness and organization of the tool and shop areas, as well as the warehouse, sheds, and garage areas. This also includes being safety conscious concerning the work performed and the areas surrounding the work.
- Assist with Disaster Relief inventory and the tracking of NADR assets.
- Be in contact with Samaritan's Purse beneficiaries (children, young adults, adults at risk) promoting and safeguarding their welfare within the context of Samaritan's Purse operations.
- Follow policies and procedures of Samaritan's Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual.
- Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support for the ministry, donors and volunteers.
- Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries and the general public.
- Other duties may be assigned that are not specifically identified within the content of the job description.
- Must successfully acquire a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and a valid DOT Medical Card within one year of hire (driving school provided, if needed).
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to maintain and troubleshoot issues with a wide variety of equipment, such as trucks, trailers, small equipment, and power tools.
- Ability to drive for an extended period of time.
- Able to deploy with very short notice.
Type: Full-Time
Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required)
Travel Expectations: Ability to travel 180–237 days per calendar year with lengthy deployments
