As a Parks Maintenance Worker I, you'll help care for the parks, trails, athletic fields, and public spaces that make Coppell a nationally recognized, Gold Medal Award-winning park system. Regular attendance and an excellent work ethic are essential. Employment duties are routinely performed Monday–Friday (6:00 am–2:30 pm), with additional overtime hours as needed. The position may also require early mornings, evenings, weekends, overtime, and emergency response during severe weather events. Applicants must be able to meet these scheduling requirements.

This opportunity is non-exempt and on Pay Grade #4. Salary determination is supported by budget availability and qualifications of the candidate to maintain internal equity. Hiring rate: $18.26–$22.36.

Typical duties include maintaining irrigation systems, performing mechanical and small-engine repairs, maintaining cooperative relationships with community stakeholders, and ensuring city policies and procedures are followed.

• High School Diploma / G.E.D. Equivalent.
• Valid State of Texas Driver’s License with a good driving record.
• No experience required.

• Knowledge in the operation and maintenance of irrigation systems, mechanical and small engine repairs.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
• Knowledge of city policies and procedures.
