Primary PurposeUnder general supervision, follow routine cleaning and maintenance procedures to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of building operations.
QualificationsEducation/Certification: Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures.

Skills:
- Knowledge of basic techniques of minor repairs and building maintenance
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy equipment and supplies
- Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies
- Ability to work well with others

Major Responsibilities and DutiesFootball Dressing Area
- Sweep after both UIL periods daily
- Mop the dressing areas after both UIL classes daily
- Clean showers with disinfectant daily
- Clean restrooms daily
- Empty trash cans daily
- Strip and wax floors (monthly to semi-annually)
Training Room
- Strip and wax floors (monthly to semi-annually)
- Sweep and mop at end of each day
- Empty trash cans daily
- Vacuum trainer’s office daily
- Vacuum main room daily
- Dust training room, trainer’s office, and main room daily
Coaches Offices
- Vacuum floors daily
- Empty trash cans daily
- Dust daily
Athletic Director’s Office
- Vacuum floor daily
- Empty trash daily
- Dust daily
- Check for ANY problems
Secretary’s Office
- Empty trash daily
- Vacuum daily
- Dust daily
Washroom and Storage Room
- Keep it LOCKED!! YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE
- Sweep and clean area
- Keep clothes picked up and throw away all trash
Other
- Observe and inform supervisor of safety hazards.
- Comply with local laws and procedures for the recycling, storage, and disposal of trash.
- Inspect machines and equipment for safety and efficiency.
- Assist in maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; requisition additional supplies as needed.
- Operate tools and equipment following established safety procedures and rules.
Equipment Used: Buffer, stripper, vacuum
Working ConditionsMental Demands: Reading, ability to understand verbal instructions
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Strenuous walking, standing, heavy lifting, and carrying. Work inside; exposed to dust, toxic chemicals, and materials, bodily wastes and fluids; slippery work surfaces. Ability to work independently.
