Description
General DescriptionResponsible for assisting in the maintenance of the Church and School campus and surroundings especially as it pertains to major projects and tasks.
Essential Job Functions- Responsible for assisting in all construction and modification projects that do not require external contractor involvement.
- Responsible for assisting in maintaining full functional use of all electrical and mechanical needs for the church and school.
- Responsible for collaborating with the facilities department to ensure timely response and closure of facilities work requests.
- Responsible for bringing to the attention of the Facilities and Construction Director any facility issues that may affect the physical safety and well-being of any person on any campus.
- Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
- Assist in the install of ventilation, refrigeration, Plumbing, Electrical and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
- Inspect alarm systems and schedule repairs when needed.
- Perform manual repairs on both campuses as necessary.
- Monitor vendors and conduct general campus upkeep procedures.
- Must have own tools.
- Must be clean, professional, and punctual.
- Other related duties as assigned. Some weekends and occasional evenings as required
- Cell Phone Stipend $75/month
Education and Experience
- This position requires a working knowledge of Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical maintenance, Drywall, Painting, and the use of specialized tools to accomplish such.
- High School diploma or GED required or equivalent (preferred)
- 1-2 years maintenance experience working in the trades preferred
- Air conditioning certification preferred
- Driver’s license preferred
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Sitting, kneeling or standing for long periods of time
- Climbing up and down stairs or Ladders
- Working at heights of up to 30ft
- Work in tight spaces
- Lifting up to 20 lbs over head
- Work on rooftops
- Work with mechanical lifts (scissor lift, Boom, Forklift)
- FLSA Status:
Non-exempt - Pay Grade: CCC Pay Grade 4
