Dive 3M Work center Support personnel report to LOGSU-1's acting Dive Division Officer and complete tasks to include, but not limited to, maintenance and inventory management of dive associated equipment. Additional duties to include the oversight, maintenance, management and necessary qualifications associated with High Altitude Oxygen Breathing Systems. Requirements
* Tracking and managing equipment maintenance as mandated by OPNAVINST 4790 (series), NAVFAC, and NAVSEA instructions and as scheduled in 3M for all Major Force Programs (MFP) Diving equipment.
* Manage preventative and corrective maintenance as mandated by OPNAVINST 4790 (series) and as scheduled in the 3M program for all line items of equipment to include, but not limited to, open circuit diving equipment, air compressors, oxygen charging booster pumps and kits, diagnostic test equipment and tools, depth gauges, pressure gauges, underwater communications equipment, Recompression Chambers, Diver's Life Support Systems(DLSS) associated equipment, diving Propulsion and Underwater Navigation equipment, closed circuit diving equipment and ancillary/support equipment.
* Responsible for the receipt and documentation of diving equipment maintenance for NAVSEA certification program and Naval Safety Center surveys.
* Maintain equipment standards IAW the system certification authority (NAVSEA), US Navy Dive Manual, and 3M manual.
* Conduct inventories and audits of all diving equipment, maintenance checks, and personnel qualifications.
* Perform customer service in support of issue/receipt of equipment and transfer of documentation for the maintenance of deployed gear.
* Maintain the maintenance program (ex. SKED 3.2) as Work-center supervisor for NAVFAC/NAVSEA equipment. Schedule and document maintenance within the program IAW NAVSEAINST 4790 (series).
* Serves as a technical equipment specialist for assigned parachutist high altitude oxygen (02) systems. Participates in basic concept and feasibility studies and in the design, development, and testing of new or modified equipment prior to its release for production. Compares equipment offered by contractors to specifications contained in bid invitations. Interfaces with manufacturer representatives.
* Manages preventative and corrective maintenance of all assigned man-carried life support systems; high altitude 02 breathing systems; and associated equipment. Provides assistance as needed to support high altitude breathing systems and independently performs required maintenance.
* As a qualified high altitude 02 equipment technician, is directly responsible for the safe conduct of high altitude 02 parachute operations to include preparation, execution, and post-operational requirements.
* Extensive skills in the design, procurement, operation, and maintenance of assigned parachutist high altitude 02 breathing systems, and other assigned equipment.
* As new equipment is added to Government inventory, the Contractor must receive additional training and/or certification from the equipment manufacturer or other qualified sources. Associated tuition costs may be invoiced through an Other Direct Cost (ODC) line item of the task order as approved by the COR and authorized by the Contracting Officer via a task order modification.
Qualifications.
* Must possess qualification as Navy 3M Work Center Supervisor and 3M Coordinator(3MC).
* Possess ability to travel TAD/TDY if required to conduct off site training.
* Thorough knowledge of Air Force, Army, and Navy policies, equipment, and procedures to conduct high altitude oxygen-breathing parachute operations.
* In-depth knowledge of equipment, parts, and components related to all high- altitude oxygen-breathing systems, and associated equipment, such as HP and LP compressors, O2 transfer systems, O2 cleaning procedures, etc., to plan and schedule PMS requirements and document a broad range of maintenance requirements.
* Must possess an active SECRET security clearance.
