, powered by Clean Harbors, is looking for an LDAR Technician to join their safety‑conscious team at a customer site. The LDAR Technician identifies, documents, and tags fugitive emissions (gas leaks) from industrial components such as valves and pumps, ensuring compliance with EPA regulations. They use specialized equipment such as Toxic Vapor Analyzers (TVAs/Method 21) or Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) cameras to monitor, report, and facilitate repairs in refineries, chemical plants, and oil/gas sites.
The Technician must ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and maintain/improve good customer relations by providing quality, timely industrial cleaning services.

- Engage in strenuous physical labor, including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects.
- Perform routine, scheduled inspections of components (valves, connectors, pumps, tanks) to detect leaks of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain analyzers such as Flame Ionization Detectors (FID).
- Record inspection data, tag leaking components, and manage inventory within databases like LeakDAS, Guide Ware, and Sky Bridge.
- Adhere to environmental regulations (e.g., 40 CFR Subpart 60) and strict site safety protocols.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to report leaks and verify repairs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- TWIC, required.
- Confined space entry & 10‑Hour OSHA Training (preferred).
- Strong mechanical aptitude; able to work independently.
- Physically active and able to travel to remote sites or work within complex, loud industrial environments.
- Must be able to wear protective clothing or equipment, including Nomex coveralls, a back belt, slicker suits, rubber boots, a fresh‑air breathing mask, an escape pack, and a hard hat.
- Must be able to work under extreme climate conditions (e.g., heat index of 95+°F, 98% humidity, sub‑zero weather).
- Must be able to withstand exposure to dust, chemicals, fumes, exhaust, and highly pressurized fluids.
- Physical stamina to walk long distances, stand for extended periods, climb ladders or scaffolding (sometimes up to 300 ft), and lift up to 50 lbs.
