• Position: JANITOR

• Fixed Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour

Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of campus buildings. Performs heavy cleaning duties, including floor cleaning, rug shampooing, wall and glass washing, and rubbish removal.

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and damp-mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and returns furniture to correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment; sanitizes all surfaces; follows the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning and takes initiative to complete tasks.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs, and refines floors; shampoos carpet.
• Contributes to team; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
