Janitorial Maintenance Technician

Sterling Personnel is recruiting a Janitorial Maintenance Technician for our client, located in Corpus Christi, TX. The Janitorial Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing general janitorial services for agency-owned facilities, grounds, and equipment. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm, with minimal overtime as needed. The hourly pay is $18.00.

• Responsible for all areas of facilities janitorial services in shelter facility to include client bedrooms when not inhabited.
• Proactively perform facilities interior and exterior janitorial services as outlined in the Housekeeping/Maintenance Manual.
• Light Maintenance (light bulbs, AC filters, doorknobs, other minor repair duties)
• Maintain communication, priorities, and relationships with agency vendors providing maintenance services.
• Monitor maintenance and facility needs and priorities in collaboration with the Residential Services Manager.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or GED.
• Experience:
  
  At least 2-3 years of maintenance experience
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Computer proficiency
• Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass a Background Check / Drug screening

Janitorialexperience highly preferred; maintenance experience preferred such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and routine building repair, basic computer skills; ability to follow routine checklist; good oral and written communication skills; flexible and able to manage multiple priorities concurrently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines; non-traditional hours to include some evening and weekend hours possible; some travel requiring a valid driver’s license and a personal, insured vehicle for u se on the job required.
