Skills:
Preferred:
Texas Structural Pest Control Board Commercial Applicators license.
Required:
Ability to organize, and coordinate multiple projects. Knowledge of athletic field events and field layout procedures. Knowledge of playground safety regulations and/or Consumer Product Safety Guidelines. Exhibit strong communication, interaction, and leadership skills. Knowledge of proper use of hand and power tools, machines and equipment used in the repair, maintenance and upkeep of a grounds operation. Technology Proficiency
Required:
Basic computer operation preferred, e.g. word processing, use of Email. Experience
Required:
Five (5) years experience in landscape, grounds or industry experience. Two (2) years verifiable experience in a supervisory capacity.

Perform and supervise a variety of grounds maintenance operations to ensure the proper maintenance and upkeep of school grounds and athletic facilities. Perform other related work as may be required.
Reports To:
Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Coordinator
Assign and coordinate grounds work with crew leaders daily. Inspect campuses daily for needed work and safety hazards; develop plans to correct problems. Issue, inventory and order grounds supplies. Establish a good working relationship with all facility and district personnel. Train and retrain grounds employees on proper grounds care procedures and the use and care of equipment. Communicate and coordinate goals, objectives for project work, and special assignments with crew leaders and employees as needed.
Evaluates the performance of subordinates. Checks to ensure a safe work environment is maintained at all times. Assures that proper time, material and work related data is noted on all work orders. Assumes responsibility for the quality control of all work done. Assume all other duties assigned to serve the needs as determined to be in the best interest of the CCISD.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Lifting (heavy, 45 pounds or over), carrying (heavy, 45 pounds or over), stooping, walking, climbing (stairs, ladders, scaffold, ramps), balancing, crouching, kneeling, pulling, crawling, working in confined areas, pushing, reaching, repetitive hand motions, visual acuity, driving (car, truck, bus). Outside temperature extremes, noises, vibrating, slippery surfaces, sunlight, works around moving objects, kneeling, chemical exposure (asbestos, fumes, vapors, gases, dusts, smoke, etc.),
inside, humidity extremes, low or intense illumination, microwaves, uneven surfaces, works with hands in water, works around machinery with moving parts, works alone, prolonged or irregular hours, biological exposure (insects, mold, fungi, bacteria, animals, plants, etc.).

Salary range is $190.03 to $276.26 daily (individual daily rate calculation is based on applicable experience. See the CCISD Salary Schedule handbook for information regarding initial salary placement. Days: 230
