The Maintenance Custodian is responsible for the cleaning of James Avery facilities as assigned by Plant Manager. This includes removing debris, keeping areas neat and tidy by performing a full range of janitorial assignments. Tasks are normally determined by specific instructions or by following well-defined procedures, methods, and practices. This opportunity will be located in our manufacturing plant in Corpus Christi, TX.

2nd Shift schedule is Monday
- Thursday; 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM.

• Cleaning floors by sweeping, mopping and/or vacuuming.
• Dusting furniture and equipment.
• Cleaning all interior windows and exterior when needed or assigned.
• Cleaning and disinfecting counter tops, appliances, and sinks.
• Cleaning and disinfecting all restroom fixtures and polish bright work.
• Wiping clean doors and walls as needed.
• Thoroughly vacuuming carpeted areas and floor mats.
• Vacuuming upholstered furniture.
• Cleaning mirrors as needed.
• Operating washing machine and dryer. Sorting, loading and unloading equipment folds laundry. Disposing of unusable items and reports need for replacement.
• Mixing water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Observing all safety regulations; participate in safety training; report all unsafe conditions to the appropriate company personnel.
• Adhering to Company policies including but not limited to the Attendance Guideline, Freedom from Harassment and Employee Discount Guideline

• Experience in the Janitorial/ Housekeeping field preferred.
• Dependable, reliable, and well organized.
• Ability to meet insurance company driving requirements on an ongoing basis.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Enthusiastic, willing to learn, and contributes to a positive team spirit.
• Ability to pass a background check as well as an alcohol, controlled substance, and illegal drug screen that meets Company standards before beginning regular employment.
