Concessions Manager Job Description

The Concessions Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the concessions areas at Kids America and Lake Park. This includes managing inventory, stocking supplies, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all staff, visitors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and Sanitation:
  • Ensure concessions areas are thoroughly cleaned before opening and sanitized after closing.
  • Clean and sanitize all equipment, counter surfaces, and floors.
• Maintenance and Supply Management:
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Replenish supplies for special events such as tournament weekends, CW&T, and game nights.
• Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, and manufacturer instructions.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain required certifications, such as Serv Safe.
• Inventory and Ordering:
  • Monitor and manage inventory of food, beverages, and supplies.
  • Place orders for new supplies when inventory levels are low.
  • Pick up supplies from designated vendors.
• Communication:
  • Effectively communicate expectations with the team.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Prior concessions experience is a plus, but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
• Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and cleaning agents.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Good physical stamina, including the ability to lift and move objects weighing 20-30 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions.

Working Conditions:

• Schedule: This is a part-time position with flexible hours, including days (early mornings, nights, or weekends).
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods. May involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and materials.
• Outdoor Work: Some work will be required outdoors during spring, summer, and fall.
