At Country House Council Bluffs, an Agemark Senior Living community, we're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Director who enjoys solving problems, leading by example, and creating a safe, well-maintained environment where residents and team members can thrive.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Laundry teams while creating a positive, service-focused culture.
  • Maintain the community's buildings, grounds, equipment, vehicles, and building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
  • Complete preventative maintenance and respond promptly to maintenance requests.
  • Ensure resident apartments are clean, repaired, and move-in ready.
  • Coordinate vendor services, repairs, and department purchasing.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, life safety regulations, fire codes, and other applicable standards.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections, emergency preparedness activities, and fire drills.
  • Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and department documentation.
  • Manage department budgets and ensure projects are completed efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Assist with transportation and other community needs as required.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous leadership experience in maintenance, facilities management, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A proactive problem-solver who takes pride in delivering quality work.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with vendors and outside contractors.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
