Position: 2nd Shift Custodian.

Reports to:

Director of Physical Plant.

Position Summary: The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and general upkeep of school buildings and grounds, including classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.

• Cleaning classrooms, lavatories, hallways, and other school areas.
• Sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and emptying trash.
• Maintaining floors, including stripping and waxing as needed.
• Operating floor cleaning and maintenance equipment.
• Ensuring restrooms and supply dispensers are stocked.
• Assisting with snow and ice removal from walkways and entrances.
• Performing exterior cleaning, including picking up litter and basic grounds maintenance.
• Moving furniture and equipment for school activities and events.
• Assisting maintenance staff when needed.
• Helping prepare areas for classes and special events.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license (preferred).
• Prior custodial or related experience preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow safety procedures.

• Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, squat, and twist regularly during an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate custodial equipment and climb ladders when necessary.

Pay and Benefits per Contract. Position Type:
Full-time.

• The District will require a physical to hire at the cost of the district. Must successfully complete all required background checks in accordance with school district policies and state regulations. Professional references required. References may not include family members.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
