We are looking for a Maintenance Technician who will support high‑quality service delivery within a healthcare environment at Mitie in Coventry. The role involves maintaining statutory compliance, driving improvement, and ensuring hygiene standards.
Roles and Responsibilities- Ensure service delivery maintains statutory, mandatory and routine compliance.
- Drive continual improvement through efficiency, added value and best‑in‑class delivery.
- Contribute to account performance across revenue, profit and cash.
- Build and maintain open relationships with stakeholders within the Trust and SPV.
- Collaborate with Mitie stakeholders and delivery partners.
- Undertake plumbing maintenance and reactive tasks in a healthcare environment, including mechanical planned and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation where safety and hygiene are critical.
- Develop and enforce water hygiene guidance, policies and procedures in line with regulations.
- Conduct inspections of facilities, equipment and work spaces to identify hygiene risks.
- Follow established safety, hygiene and environmental guidelines.
- Recommend and implement improvements to strengthen water hygiene standards.
- Escalate any issues with reactive jobs or PPMs to the supervisor for rectification.
- Basic to intermediate IT skills.
- Initiative‑taking and motivation to achieve excellence in a healthcare setting.
- Experience in acute healthcare premises (helpful but not essential).
- Strong adherence to Health & Safety policies and permit‑to‑work systems.
- Ability to communicate, coordinate tasks and deliver high standards of customer care.
- Plumbing and mechanical experience required, with onsite training available.
- Professional, confidential and committed to further training as required by Mitie FM.
- Training, development and clear progression pathways within Mitie.
