We are looking for a Maintenance Technician who will support high‑quality service delivery within a healthcare environment at Mitie in Coventry. The role involves maintaining statutory compliance, driving improvement, and ensuring hygiene standards.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Ensure service delivery maintains statutory, mandatory and routine compliance.
  • Drive continual improvement through efficiency, added value and best‑in‑class delivery.
  • Contribute to account performance across revenue, profit and cash.
  • Build and maintain open relationships with stakeholders within the Trust and SPV.
  • Collaborate with Mitie stakeholders and delivery partners.
Main Duties
  • Undertake plumbing maintenance and reactive tasks in a healthcare environment, including mechanical planned and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation where safety and hygiene are critical.
  • Develop and enforce water hygiene guidance, policies and procedures in line with regulations.
  • Conduct inspections of facilities, equipment and work spaces to identify hygiene risks.
  • Follow established safety, hygiene and environmental guidelines.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to strengthen water hygiene standards.
  • Escalate any issues with reactive jobs or PPMs to the supervisor for rectification.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Basic to intermediate IT skills.
  • Initiative‑taking and motivation to achieve excellence in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience in acute healthcare premises (helpful but not essential).
  • Strong adherence to Health & Safety policies and permit‑to‑work systems.
  • Ability to communicate, coordinate tasks and deliver high standards of customer care.
  • Plumbing and mechanical experience required, with onsite training available.
  • Professional, confidential and committed to further training as required by Mitie FM.
