Logistics Coordinator I

The Logistics Coordinator I will manage inventory and logistics for a divisional warehouse or a large job site. This role includes scheduling all inbound/outbound shipments, coordinating with site leaders for material needs, making deliveries from the warehouse to the job site or between sites, and reporting to the Division or Department Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee shipping and receiving by unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
  • Prepare orders by processing requests, pulling materials, packing boxes, and placing orders in the delivery area
  • Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing requests, and recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed using computer systems
  • Ensure the team maintains a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat, sweeping, dusting, and mopping
  • Oversee organization of connex and work area for orderliness at all times
  • Wear the proper safety equipment
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
  • Class A CDL preferred (not required after 6 months of employment)
  • OSHA 10, CPR & First Aid certifications
  • High School Graduate/GED preferred
  • At least 3 years of logistics or inventory/tracking experience preferred
Working Conditions
  • Work in all-weather elements, heat, cold, rain, or snow
  • Warehouse environment may or may not be climate controlled
  • Work from various ladders and transport/relocate ladders unassisted
  • Do not exceed the rated weight capacity of ladders when moving personal weight with tools
  • Perform work at heights up to 90 feet using ladders, scaffolds, aerial work platforms, cat walks, or other safe work areas
  • May drive forklifts and use hand trucks
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment
  • Work regularly 40 hours per week plus overtime; night shifts, weekends, and out-of-town work may be required
Required Physical/Mental Functions
  • Identify colors of wire and other items as required
  • Safely use required power tools
  • Safely operate construction equipment (trencher, forklift, aerial work platforms, etc.)
  • Use hand tools or power equipment as needed
  • Follow safe work procedures outlined in the Company Safety Handbook
  • Operate two‑handed tools (cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, etc.)
  • Operate company truck with manual and automatic transmission
  • Drive at night safely
  • Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, work site directions, and written instructions
  • Have adequate hearing and vision (with or without correction)
  • Perform bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead tasks
  • Lift objects up to 50 pounds and frequently lift or carry objects up to 20 pounds
  • Tolerate prolonged standing and movement on foot
  • Climb ladders of all types
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
  • Transition from parking areas or streets into construction work areas and access all building levels, even via OSHA‑approved ladders or stairs under construction
  • Secure tools and materials from storage areas to complete assigned tasks
