Maintenance Mechanic 1st/2nd Class

PER SOCCo Policy DND-HR-PRO-00001: Internal employees must be in current position for 1 year or greater to be eligible to apply.

THIS POSITION WILL BE REPRESENTED AS PART OF A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT UNIT.

Works as a member of a crew on large-scale jobs under the direction of a supervisor. On specific operation, may work independently from detailed work orders. Must work to required specifications and tolerances in assembling or replacing parts in machinery or equipment. Must be in good physical condition as considerable manual effort is involved. Uses tools and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs and most work is performed in awkward or unnatural positions.

• Pre-Employment Physical (office or field work)

• The ability to obtain/maintain "L" or "Q" Clearance one year from hire date
• Background Check
• Any site required training
