Job Overview

UPS is seeking a reliable Journeyman Automotive Technician - CDL REQUIRED to join the fleet maintenance team at its Middleton, Wisconsin facility.

• Maintain and repair a diverse range of fleet vehicles, including delivery vehicles, heavy‑duty on‑road tractors, and trailers from various manufacturers.
• Diagnose and repair systems such as hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical, and engine/powertrain control using diagnostic equipment and scan tools.
• Operate standard & manual transmissions, power and pneumatic tools, and maintain tools required for job assignments.
• Adhere to DOT requirements and CDL qualifications for assignments; stay certified as Power Industrial Truck Operations (PITO) if required.
• Perform general physical tasks—including bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders and stairs, walking, turning, and using hand grasping – throughout the work shift.

• Minimum 7 years of documented Journeyman Mechanic experience in automotive or diesel field.
• Active driver's license issued by the state;
  Class A/B or A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) – REQUIRED.
• 21 years or older.
• Must be U.S. Citizen or National, lawful permanent resident, or authorized to work in the U.S.
• Willing to work Monday‑Friday, 4:00p.m.‑12:30a.m.; flexible for varying shifts, additional hours, and overtime.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and a personal computer; experience in dealership, mobile repair, or fleet environments highly preferred.
• Formal technical education preferred.
• No visa sponsorship; must be located in Middleton, Wisconsin or willing to relocate.

• Starting pay $37.12 per hour with one‑year progression to top pay $46.40.
